New Atrea (Atrea), Capital of the T’rintar Clan

First Peace arc*
“Much can be said about our world. It is beautiful,
nature, and believing. It is everything to us yet,
the single major focal point in politics,” Adjunct

It is more than apparent that the T’rintar
clan does have a series of worlds that they
inhabit. Of one such world is that of their main
capital of the entire clan. In total, there are five
essential locations of politics, but New Atrea is
the central hub of all of it. It is a fledgling planet,
but one that is more than capable of serving as a
home and place of refuge. Ironically, the planet
was never really intended to serve as its intended
role of today. It only managed to gain the position
over time.
History
New Atrea was under the distant watchful
eye of humanity from time to time. Distant
telescopes revealed it to be Kepler 283c, a super
earth-sized planet located in Kepler 283. Located
over 1700 light-years from Sol, it seemed that
nothing could ever reach that far. The star that
the planet is located in orbits a K-Type star. It is
smaller than Sol but cool and stable. K-Type stars
have a history of stability and longevity better
than the G-Type stars. It was believed that life
could operate in this world, and human scientists
would be proven correct rather recently. Despite
the doubled sheer size, the gravity is only 30%
higher than Earth. Kepler 283c had a breathable
atmosphere and life.
To the T’rintar clan, the world is rather new
to them. It was founded only 10,000 years ago, not
long after the collapse of the Empire of Jalgren. To
the Yutilians, when the empire fell apart, the last
1,000 years after it would resort to an age of
violence and solidification. The “Post Imperial
Kingdoms Era” would begin. Within the 10,000-
year mark, there were four of these kingdoms
where the Yutilians tried to negotiate and operate
together to ensure everyone's survival. While the
claimed territories struggled to avoid fighting one
another, it was agreed that a new world was
needed to serve as a central mediation point. The
planet was lush and vibrant with life. The Itreans,
generally being respectful of nature, decided that
New Atrea would be a suitable location. It was
away from the central kingdom's areas to avoid
claims from other nations' greed or territorial line
movements.
The term for Atrea follows the ancient
reference to the sacred homeworld of where all
life begun. It was more than a home but a place of
hope and prosperity. According to most Itrean
historians, it is believed the New Atrea was the
seventh planet to bear the name until it would be
changed to something else. In time, the name is
sometimes simply referred to as Atrea. It consists
of three moons and has two other planets in the
solar system. The distant moons of
Gil’Ka’Naltarta, a neighboring distant gas giant
world, would serve as a viable mining and
shipyard construction facility. The combination of
the shipyards and planet would allow warships
and basic transports to be manufactured in viable
numbers while allowing the planet to be used for
population and habitation.
New Atrea is considered by many to be an
alright location. During the Post Imperial Era, the
Yutilians wanted the planet because it would less
likely be ceased by the Aksren, Alara’jal, Shal’rein,
and Palieran clans. The three planets made it a
smaller target and reduced its value to many. In
the beginning, the colony world was not anything
unique, either. While it served its intended role as
a meeting place, the kingdoms still had their main
capital worlds. If the absolute worst were to
occur, then New Atrea’s loss would only be so
much of a blow to the overall Yutilian clan.
In time, however, New Atrea would start to
gain more and more ground. Its great cities would
continue to expand in size. The enormous room
allowed various Yutilian sects and groups to
spread out. Even to this day, ancient tribes that
wanted to return to a life of simplicity would
operate in millions of remote locations
throughout the world. Various huts and
abandoned early settlements are preserved for
future tourists and sightseers alike. Economically
wise, while it didn’t serve as a central trading
platform, it would continue to serve as a political
platform. Many of the Kingdoms continued to
enjoy the aspect of a place of balance and
cohabitation. New Atrea almost served as a place
that wasn’t claimed by any of the Kingdoms but
still managed to have a population that lived a
thrived.
Eventually, however, the planet would be
given ownership to one of the Kingdoms. The
Kingdom of Gui’Optre would have the planet in its
possession. At the time, much discussion raged if
the New Atrea’s place of importance as a political
hub would continue or a more suitable location
would be chosen. Gui’Optre would vow to take
proper care of the planet and still treat it as a
respected world.
However, New Atrea would never truly lose
its position. Any future attempts to find a new
world of mediation failed. Surprisingly, the busy
shipyard was really what saved it. Within 5,000
years, the vast construction arrays would
constitute almost 6% of the entire Yutilian clan
fleet assets, an enormous number when
compared to the Yutilian star fortress and other
kingdoms’ production capabilities.
In time, New Atrea would see the reversal.
Within thousands of years, the Kingdoms were
being changed from within. Political ideology
started to embrace more democratic and
republican ideals. Kings and queens were more
figureheads rather than true leaders. Elected
officials by vote were becoming more
commonplace. This actually caused the value of
New Atrea to increase as new forms of unified
Yutilian clan presidents were put into place. While
weak at first, these elected leaders would use
New Atrea as the place to reside and operate
from.
Recent History
During the War with the Emphra, New Atrea
would serve more than just the central location
for the Yutilian clan and as a mediation platform
for the Aksren and Shal’rein clan alliance. With
such a dangerous enemy, New Atrea’s value was
paramount. The Emphra would launch three
attacks on the system in the twenty years. The
worst of these was in 2288 to 2289 that resulted in
damage to Gil’Nal’Niltarta’s production facilities.
Another attack resulted in the Emphra reaching
the surface of New Atrea in 2291, but by then,
particle beam weaponry was used to wipe out the
silver menace quickly.
In 2299, New Atrea’s history would be further
solidified in value as serving as the central
platform for the United Itrean Empire or the
United Itrean Republic. The loose but valiant
attempt by the Itrean clans would try to usher the
first form of united effort in Itrean history. While
New Atrea was still a “backwater world,” it still
appealed to many of the Aksren and Shal’rein
leadership alike.
With the inevitable failure of the republic,
many of the Yutilians feared the loss of New
Atrea. The fracture of the Shal’rein and Aksren
clans from the negotiation tables would place the
planet at new risk. Much of the Yutilian clan relief,
the world was of little value to the Aksren and
Shal’rein clan, and they quickly abandoned their
administrative staff in the 2330s.
Regardless, New Atrea’s fate as the capital of
the now T’rintar clan still resides to this day. In
the current moment, there seems to be nothing
backing out of it. Even with the shocking
discovery of Itrea (Earth), the T’rintar clan still
place much emphasis on New Atrea’s pace of
importance. However, there have been remote
discussions if the place of future Itrean leadership
may be moved to Earth far in the future….
